This month we sat down with Deep Menon, Vice President of Products, to find out more about Adicio’s business. Adicio is a California-based VAR partner providing software solutions to various industries.
OB: In a nutshell, what does Adicio do?
DM: Adicio provides interactive classified advertising software-as-a-service solutions for the careers, motors and real estate markets that enable our clients to grow their online revenues exponentially.
OB: Who are your top clients?
DM: Our client list includes major media publishers such as Gatehouse Media, Hearst Newspapers, Stephens Media, Dow Jones Local Media Group, Sound Publishing, Landmark Communications, Wehco and Swift Communications.
OB: Does the company have a focus in any particular geographical areas?
DM: We have client sites around the globe but our real estate clients are currently based in North America. Although, we have recently localized our real estate platform to be supported in multiple languages.
OB: What is your focus in 2011?
DM: Our focus is always on enhancing our platforms so our clients can leverage the latest technological advances, but each year we adjust our product roadmap to ensure we capture both current and future trends. We just released some social media enhancements and are working on a variety of mobile solutions and product enhancements to give our clients even more options to extend their visibility and reach. We are also focused on enhancing our faceted search product with Onboard’s lifestyle data which will help home buyers find their perfect home by selecting the community characteristics that are most important to them such as family friendly, school ratings, health & safety, pet friendly, golfer’s paradise, close to nightlife and so on.
OB: What types of companies are you currently looking to partner with?
DM: We look for clients that we can partner with and help them grow their online business whether they are a newspaper, broadcaster, trade association, trade publication, broker/agent, MLS or other media company. Our clients vary in size as do our solutions. Our Professional Editions start at under $1,000 a month and can scale up as your business grows. If your online business is more established, our Enterprise Editions are ideal. Our platforms have many revenue-generating features and functions that are not available with other providers. As a result, your site will be able to generate significantly higher revenue at a lower cost than from any other competing product offerings. We also look for strategic partners and innovators that can augment our products and services to help our clients stay ahead of their competition. OB: You power over 1000 sites globally. Do you have a couple examples that show off the range of what you do?
DM: The Seattle Times uses all three of our platforms as does the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Real Estate clients include the San Diego Union-Tribune and The Roanoke Times.
